The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it still needs to be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's inner dustbin holds 2.4L of trash and is enough to last four or five cleaning sessions before needing to replace it.
Like the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor tracking sensors to create maps and navigate in neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, while the i7 can store multiple. The i7 is also able to use its map to create no-go zones as well as virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO is not able to do this.
Although the i3+ EVO is superior at picking up surface debris than some of the other robovacs that we tested however, it's not the most effective in terms of cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It moved chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and it became stuck on cords and toys during testing.
