1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO are both identical robots, but they differ in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. The i3+ is an excellent alternative for those who want a an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the robot's dustbin after it has filled up.
Both robots excel at cleaning up surface debris from carpets and hard floors, and they're excellent in getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ does not have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots we tested. It can be stuck on power cords and socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces, like carpet and hardwood.
iRobot suggests cleaning the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might encounter. It is also recommended to keep the dustbin and filter clear to avoid becoming clogged. When top rated robot vacuum i3+'s internal bin is full or its battery is low it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its trash into the station's dust bin and then resumes cleaning where it began. The Roomba I7+ can make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or through the app.
The i7+ is faster and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin which eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces recurring cost.
We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. After connecting to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10

The specialized head uses rigid nylon bristles that penetrate deep into carpets and collect large crumbs or fine dust. It has three suction modes to suit the task being performed. It quickly converts from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum and back again.
This model also has an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours and offers an easy access to two attachments and the Wand clip. This is a significant improvement over the older Dysons, which take a long time to charge and are a pain to store.
The biggest issue with the V10 is its short run time. The tests conducted by CR show that its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are not true. This is a standard battery-powered vacuum's run time. This is enough time to clean the typical home however, it's not enough time to reach every area. (A second run generally works). This doesn't mean that this model doesn't have its advantages It's lighter and more maneuverable than older cordless Dysons, and its vacuuming performance is significantly superior on carpets with a low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on the latest model of robot. It's capable of sucking up a variety of types of debris and sizes during our testing, and it often goes over the same areas many times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front allows it to reach corners and the edges of walls.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home. It's not equipped with the capabilities for mapping of more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. It can get stuck on phone cords or low furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its original location.
